Esther's Budget

I Monica Nankoma conducted an income assessment with Esther Tumuheirwe and my report on her income and expenditure is as follows:

She works with the Invisible Children Bracelet Campaign Team as the person in charge of dying materials and earns Ushs. 200,000/=

She also makes bracelets and earns Ushs. 264,000/=

Esther was elected as a team leader for Craft product Development at the WE Center and she earns Ushs. 100.000/=

Her total income is Ushs. 564,000/= in a month.

Esther also has monthly expenditures as outlined below:

School Fees 200,000/=
Airtime 20,000/=
Rent 100,000/=
Food 60,000/=
Medical 20,000/=
Electricity 20,000/=
Transport 10,000/=
Total 430,000/=

Her surplus income is Ushs, 110,000/=

She wants a loan of Ushs. 800,000/= and after the assessment I found out with Esther that she is capable of repaying the loan in a period of one year in installments of 80,665/= leaving her with an extra Ushs, 29,335/= for other emergencies.

Esther Tumuheirwe

Esther 's tie and dye has been her major source of income and ever since she learn this skill from her mum six years back. She started by making fabrics only but now she has gone up an extent of making fashions and designs out of her fabrics. She has stitching machine but she now wants to buy a designing machine so that she can have a variety of fashions for her clients. She also wants to buy more materials and that's why she wants alone to help her meet her needs.
